Founded by Captain Vangelis Spathis, born in the coastal village of Spathi, Kefalonia, the company grew from a lifelong romance with the sea into a family-run operation offering unforgettable daily yacht cruises from Skala. After earning his Master’s License in 1984 and sailing the world, Captain Vangelis returned to his roots and started cruises from Skala in 1987, bringing international experience to local waters.
Today, Captain Vangelis – Special Cruises operates the brand-new luxury yacht BIG LADY “NIRIIS” — a cutting-edge vessel designed for comfort, speed, and safety. From low-noise Volvo Penta IPS engines, stabilizers, and air conditioning, to eco-friendly systems and spacious facilities, our yacht offers one of the most advanced cruise experiences in Kefalonia.
